These Terms govern access to and use of the service operated at subclub.curious.nyc (“SubClub”, the “Club”, “we”). By signing in, applying for membership, or holding a membership, you accept these Terms.
SubClub is a small, private, invitation-based membership club. The nature of the membership benefit is communicated to Members directly and is intentionally not described in these Terms or anywhere else on this site. If you do not already know what the Club does, these Terms are not addressed to you.
Nothing on this site constitutes an offer to the general public.
Signing in with a Google account constitutes an application for membership. Admission is entirely at our discretion; we are not obliged to give reasons, act within any timeframe, or admit anyone. An application may remain pending indefinitely.
Membership is personal and non-transferable. One account per person; you are responsible for everything done through your account.
Members maintain a prepaid balance, denominated in US dollars. On the 1st of each month, that month’s dues are deducted from your balance. Dues are recalculated each month and may go up or down; the current amount is always visible to you when signed in, before you pay anything.
Your balance is not a deposit, earns no interest, and is not redeemable for cash, except that if your membership ends we may — at our discretion — refund the remaining balance.
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe’s processing fee (currently 2.9% + $0.30 per card payment) is added at checkout as its own line item, shown to you before you pay. The amount you chose is credited to your balance in full.
Once you have paid by card, auto-renew is on by default: if on the monthly run your balance falls below two months’ dues, your saved card is charged one year’s dues (minimum $10) onto your balance, plus the card fee. You can switch auto-renew off or remove your saved card at any time from your member page. A failed auto-renew charge is not retried.
If your balance reaches zero, your membership pauses. There is no penalty and nothing is owed; any payment reinstates it immediately.
We may suspend or end any membership at our discretion. If we end yours, we will — at our discretion — refund any remaining balance.
Members agree not to publicly disclose non-public details of the Club, its benefits, or its Members, and not to share their account or extend the benefit of membership to anyone who is not a Member.
Do not misrepresent your identity, probe or disrupt the service, scrape it, or use it for anything unlawful.
The service and the benefits of membership are provided as is. We may change, substitute, or discontinue any part of what the Club offers at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability to you is limited to the dues you paid in the twelve months before the claim arose.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version; continued use of the service after a change means you accept it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
